Canadian rapper Drake returned to the top of the Billboard 200 album chart with “Views” on Monday after a seven-week break from the top spot.
“Views” first took the No.1 spot in April and now topped the Billboard charts for 13 non-consecutive weeks.
About 53,000 units of the album were sold last week, according to Nielsen Sound scan, which tracks sales of music and music video products.
Billboard said “Views” now had the longest non-consecutive run at No.1 on the album chart since the soundtrack for the animated Disney movie “Frozen” in 2014.
The Billboard 200 album chart tallies with units from album and song sales (10 songs equal one album) and streaming activity (1,500 streams equal one album).
The enduring popularity of “Views” meant hip hop artist Mac Miller’s new release, “The Divine Feminine” had to settle for second spot on the Billboard 200, with 48,000 units sold.
New releases from country singer Aaron Lewis (“Sinner”) and Usher (“Hard II Love”) debuted in the No.4 and No.5 spots respectively.
On the digital songs chart, which measures online single download sales, summer hit “Closer” by American duo `The Chain smokers’ reigned once again with some 162,000 sales for the week.

Rihanna’s stiletto sneaker hype leaves Paris in her wake
Before she even set foot on the Paris catwalk Wednesday singer Rihanna was making headlines with her second collection for Puma, sending supermodel Gigi Hadid off sprinting in a pair of stiletto sneakers.
In pictures released on Instagram, Hadid was shown running and jumping in high-heeled trainers in a long dress with a swimsuit-like bodice.
Another had her stretched out in a skin-tight body suit like a sprinter set to speed off down the track in the same white stilettos with the German brand’s trademark black stripe.
The carefully choregraphed series of leaks to hog the maximum of social media attention, also hinted that the Barbadian star is finally bringing colour to her Puma x Fenty (ccrt) range, after a debut show based solely on black and white.
Another mustard and white tunic dress gives Hadid much more room for manoeuvre.
Behind-the-scenes videos show the 28-year-old star preparing for her Paris debut in a light pastel pink shift dress.
The show, in a mansion close to the Champs Elysee, will be streamed live on the rapper Jay-Z Tidal platform.
Rihanna’s first collection for Puma was shown in New York last autumn and was heavy on sportwear and reworked jogging gear.
This is far from the first time that designers have given sneakers a bit of a life. Several has given them a high heel including New York-based Donna Karan in 2012.
Despite it new-found hipness Puma, which is owned by the French-based fashion conglomerate Kering, has struggled to compete with rivals Nike and Adidas. It does however make Usain Bolt’s running shoes.
PDP has rejected the result of the EDO Governorship election!!!
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected the results of the Edo governorship election held on Wednesday, ahead of the announcement of the outcome.
The party rejected the results in a press conference addressed by its Chairman in the state, Mr Dan Orbih,on Thursday in Benin.
The press conference was also attended the party’s governorship candidate in the election, Mr Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
Both the party and it’s candidate said they rejected the results because they were “fabricated and a pre-determined” by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Edo Government.
INEC was announcing the results of the poll as at the time of filing this report.
Orbih said that the results as they were being announced by the INEC, were at a complete variance with what the party got from it agents and independent observers.
He alleged that the two-week extension of the poll by the electoral body was to allow for more time to perfect the manipulation of the process.
“You will recall that our state Publicity Secretary had briefed the press less than 48 hours to the elections on what is playing out now.
“If you go by the results that were announced at the polling units and wards across the state, it shows that PDP would have won by over 30,000 votes.
“What INEC is announcing is clearly different from what we got from our agents and independent observers in the 192 wards and over 2,000 units across the state.
“We are rejecting these results as they were being announced by INEC and we are coming out early enough to make this known,”he said.
The chairman said the cancellation of some results on the basis of failed card reader was part of a deliberate plan to also manipulate the poll.
He alleged that the areas were results were canceled were stronghold of the PDP.
“I wonder what the Incident Form is for. Voters should not be made to suffer unduly for the inefficiency of card readers,” he said.
He said the results as were being announced by INEC, were clearly at variance with the widely acclaimed voter- turnout that was also acknowledged by the electoral umpire itself.
On his part, the governorship candidate said he aligned himself with the position of the party.
“The results are not a true reflection of what happened in the field. The INEC only played a script written by the Government of Edo,” he said
MMM is a mutual aid donation scheme!!!
Members of MMM South Africa want their donation scheme to be declared legitimate.(SABC)
Representative of MMM-RSA, Deon Janse van Rensburg, says MMM is a mutual aid donation scheme.
Members of MMM South Africa want their donation scheme to be declared legitimate. The members have approached the North Gauteng High Court through their representative after some of their bank accounts were frozen.
The National Consumer Commission (NCC) says they did not freeze anyone's bank account as they do not have the mandate to.
Speaking on AM Live , Van Rensburg says the formal economy has failed the people by shackling them into debt.
He says the aim of MMM is to get people out of debt
MMM crashes,millions mayblost their investments!!
Lots of Zimbabweans are in a financial trauma as you read this, all thanks to the popular Ponzi scheme called MMM .
Thousands of people living in Zimbabwe, among them civil servants, vendors and more, were said to have lost thousands of dollars to fraudulent online pyramid scheme MMM Global Zimbabwe after the system collapsed recently. The social financial network, which relied on an accelerating number of new members to pay off the old, abruptly terminated its services without any prior notice last week leaving participants stranded.
MMM pyramid scheme (bitcoinhub)
Iharare.co reports that these Zimbabweans joined the online investment scheme with the sole aim of “getting rich quickly”. It was said that the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe warned its people about the system, saying the scheme was fraudulent.
The scheme prides itself as a mutual aid fund under which recruited members contribute money to assist others and are promised investment returns of 30 percent per month. Some of the people left counting their losses told The Herald that they received emails that the scheme had been suspended until September 15.
“All along things were moving in the right direction and we now have nowhere to claim our investments. When we started putting our funds in the scheme one could get assistance within seven days but things later changed to 14 days and when we were shut out the waiting period was 21 days. What it simply means is that the number of people in need of help has outnumbered the number of people joining. Right now we have nowhere to get our money which we invested.”
MMM stands for Mavrodi Mondial Moneybox and takes its name from its founder, Sergei Panteleevich Mavrodi of Russia. He founded MMM in 1989 and the scheme was declared bankrupt three years later leading to the disappearance of Mavrodi until his arrest in 2003.
While some people who were skeptical about the scheme started with small amounts, it is believed some poured in thousands of dollars anticipating higher returns. The RBZ said the schemes were fraudulent as existing investors were ‘paid money not from genuine market investment of their funds, but from contributions made by new investors, until a point when the scheme can no longer attract new investors.”
Sergey Panteleevich Mavrodi is a Russian criminal and a former deputy of the State Duma. He is the founder of the МММ series of pyramid schemes
Currently, the scheme is in Nigeria and it is called MMM – Federal Republic of Nigeria. Lots of Nigerians are on the scheme and the scheme actually works (just like how it was working well at first in Zimbabwe). MMM Nigeria, is a Ponzi scheme that originated in Russia that has now set up in Nigeria. Wikipedia says the company was involved in one of the biggest Ponzi schemes in the 1990s. It was estimated that thousands of people lost up to $10 billion dollars.
Well, a lot of people think the scheme is legit and not a scam but the history of the company says the opposite. Only time will tell.
